A simple solution to changing rim nightlatches to a different backset.
We designed the Nightlatch Backset Adapter because a customer needed to replace the locks on some HMOs where the existing locks were 40mm backset. The Fire Safety Office had insisted they sere changed to locks that didn’t self lock. The customer was fitting Yale 82 rim deadbolts but it meant a gap was exposed behind the cylinder when the new lock was fitted.
To hide this we made a plate that will cover the hole left by the change of lock. The plate is held in place by the cylinder but can also be taped in place for additional security using double sided adhesive tape.
The same plate is suitable to convert Union’s 50mm and Legge’s 44mm backset locks to standard 60mm locks.
Manufactured in stainless steel the plates are an ideal solution to a perennial problem!
Currently available as dual finish satin/polished stainless steel we can also supply them brass plated or in a range of RAL colours at an additional cost.
